Kinmel Estate is situated just a few miles from the North Wales coast (map), and extends to some 5,000 acres of owned land and sporting rights. This comprises nine farms, 30 houses, 5 miles of the Elwy salmon and sea trout river, 1,000 acres of woodlands, paintballing, two livery yards, 1,000 acres of formal landscaped parkland, a golf course and driving range and various other interests. Access to and from the Estate couldn’t be easier, with the main A55 dual carriageway crossing the Estate itself, and a mainline railway station (Rhyl) just fifteen minutes away with direct trains to London (train timetable). For those with more expansive budgets, there is a commercial airfield 25 minutes away at Hawarden (link), and helicopters and smaller aircraft can be landed on the Estate with prior permission. This website deals primarily with the sporting interests of the Kinmel Estate. Should you wish to know more about other aspects of the Estate, including the availability of any residential properties for rent, please contact the Agents for the Estate, Strutt and Parker (Chester Office). Their website can be found here, or they can be contacted by email. If you would like to apply for a permit to ride horses on the Estate, please contact Dickon Fetherstonhaugh at the address below or by email.
Please note: The Estate is not open to the public and can only be visited by invitation. |
